Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong 40th Anniversary Presents
‘Savouring Old Hong Kong’ The Charity Banquet at Luk Yu Tea House
Over the past 40 years, ADAHK has worked to break down barriers faced by people with disabilities, using the arts to create opportunities for them to realise their talents and contribute meaningfully to Hong Kong’s cultural landscape.
To celebrate this significant milestone, we are once again breaking with convention. Moving away from the traditional charity gala held in a hotel ballroom, we invite you to join and support ‘Savouring Old Hong Kong’ a charity banquet to be held at Luk Yu Tea House on Tuesday, 17 November 2026, for a nostalgic journey through time. Set within an atmosphere rich in Hong Kong heritage and character, the evening will bring together supporters to share a table, enjoy traditional dishes and conversation, and experience the warmth, community spirit and human connections that have long defined our city.
For many years, ADAHK has not received regular government subvention; its operations rely on generous contributions from the community. The net proceeds from the Charity Banquet will be used to nurture more young, talented artists with disabilities and foster their professional growth.
Your support will do more than help an artist with disabilities pursue their dreams. It will enable the arts to continue serving as a powerful force for connecting communities, fostering inclusion and building a more inclusive society for all.

The Third Phase of the ‘Inclusive Art Ambassadors Scheme’ Has Started
Sponsored by the Labour and Welfare Bureau and organised by ADAHK, the Public Education Sharing Sessions under the ‘Inclusive Art Ambassadors Scheme’ are now in full swing.
The scheme aims to use the arts as a bridge to enhance the workplace capabilities of people with disabilities, while empowering talented artists with disabilities to develop their potential, strengthen their professional skills, and expand their employment opportunities. It also fosters exchange and collaboration between them and mainstream artists, and various sectors of the community, enriching Hong Kong’s cultural landscape with greater diversity and inclusion. The scheme further showcases the creativity of artists with disabilities, challenging stereotypes and misconceptions about people with disabilities, and contributing to a society that recognises and celebrates diverse talents.
ADAHK’s social enterprise, ADAM, invited 15 talented artists with disabilities and brought their creative works and stories into communities through 20 sessions of talks, school sharing, and live performances. These activities aim to foster public understanding and dialogue on inclusion, enabling more people to experience the transformative power of the arts firsthand. An estimated 2,000 participants from the public will benefit from the scheme.
Participating artists include Karen Chan, Kevin Cheng, Jessica Chiu, William Chu, Sharon Choi, Ding Yijie, Lee Hin, Lee Shing, Jack Li, Alice Leung, Lo Pui Yung, Stanley Lo, Helen Ma, Joyce Poon and Anson Tang.

‘Shakespeare4All Gala Production ‘As You Like It: Tales From Olympus’

ADAHK was proud to be the Performance Accessibility Partner for the Shakespeare4All Gala Production for the fourth consecutive year, continuing our mission to drive accessibility in theatre. This year, Deaf consultants participated throughout the preparation and rehearsal process for Theatre Interpretation, adding greater depth to the performance and taking another step toward arts inclusion.
This year’s show, ‘As You Like It: Tales From Olympus’, reimagined Shakespeare’s timeless comedy through the world of Greek mythology. To give Deaf audiences a fully immersive experience, Theatrical Interpretation and a Hong Kong Sign Language-interpreted backstage tour were offered. Participants explored the stage, sets and costumes up close, while Theatrical Interpretation, a blend of Sign Language with vivid physical expression, ensured no one missed a moment of dialogue or the groovy music.
