‘Arts are for Everyone’ For 40 Years and Beyond 40th Anniversary Commemorative Logo |
‘Arts are for Everyone’ has never been merely a slogan. It is the core belief and mission that has guided us throughout these four decades. The ADAHK logo, made up of two pieces of jigsaw puzzles, symbolises a harmonious relationship and mutual cooperation between people with and without disabilities. Through the arts and creativity, the lives of both would become as rich and colourful as the rainbow.
Celebrating our 40th anniversary, we are honoured to have anothermountainman (Stanley Wong), ADAHK’s committee member and world-renowned artist, photographer, and designer, make subtle adjustments to our logo and design the 40th anniversary edition. anothermountainman has refreshed our logo with a minimalist and modern aesthetic. For the 40th anniversary logo, he captured the essence of the rainbow to symbolise our journey alongside people with disabilities, as well as our partners and participants: ‘For 40 Years and Beyond.’
Watch the video now to hear anothermountainman explain the creative vision behind the two logo designs.

The Third Cohort of the Audio Description course at PolyU SPEED |
ADAHK has partnered once again with The School of Professional Education and Executive Development, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (SPEED), to present the third cohort of a course focused on teaching the fundamental techniques of Audio Description. This course began in February and is the first fully accredited Audio Description course available in Hong Kong’s tertiary education system. This semester, the class includes 20 students from diverse backgrounds, including social work, social sciences, and the arts.
The practicum component has been enhanced with a practicum on the ‘Encounters with Landscape’ exhibition by Wu Guanzhong at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, artworks from the ‘Good Days 2.0: Join the Fun’ Elderly Photography Exhibition, and an Audio Description Accessible Tour of the Oi!. Additionally, elderly photographers from ‘Good Day 2.0,’ people with visual impairments, and Audio Description consultants have been invited to provide feedback to the students. This interaction allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the creative concepts behind the artworks and receive direct feedback on their Audio Description scripts from both the creators and the users. It is believed that this course and the experiences gained will empower students to utilise Audio Description to benefit more people in their future professional roles.
