Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Shanghai Museum, ‘The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Fragrance of Time - In Search of Chinese Art of Scent’ presented Chinese fragrance culture in all its splendour and diversity. The Chinese fragrance culture has a profound and extensive history. For thousands of years, fragrances have permeated through studies, chambers, palaces and temples, serving as both a medium for worshipping ancestors and deities and as a means to enrich the daily lives of ancient people while facilitating their spiritual pursuits. The exhibition showcased 160 sets of artefacts, including aromatic sachets, censers and incense ware, spanning from the Neolithic period to the 20th century.
ADAHK provided Accessible Tours for the exhibition, catering to the needs of people with different abilities. Our services, including Audio Description and Sign Language Interpretation, ensure that everyone can fully experience the timeless allure of fragrances on a barrier-free olfactory journey spanning thousands of years.
