ADAM, the social enterprise of ADAHK, has been invited by the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to showcase two large-scale paintings created by the artist with disability, Apple Tong. These commissioned artworks are currently on display at the Harbour Road Cafe.

With 2025 winding down as we pass from summer into autumn, what memories have you gathered? The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant - Inclusive Arts Project will take ‘Memories’ as its theme from 2025 to 2028. Through a variety of art workshops, participants will be guided to transform their individual or collective memories into tangible artistic expressions, creating a rich tapestry of shared recollections.
The new round of art workshops will take place from October 2025 to January 2026. In addition to continuing our signature workshops, such as ‘Flash Ensemble,’ painting, and percussion, the project will introduce new workshops, including finger knitting and miniature flowerboard crafting. Whether you cherish the warmth of a childhood sweater knitted by your grandmother or feel nostalgic about the traditional flowerboards from old Hong Kong shops and streets, we hope these blended memories of the past and present will inspire fresh artistic creations.

【Arts Accessibility Scheme】 Theatrical Interpretation and Backstage Tour at Shakespeare4All Gala Production |
For the third year, ADAHK proudly collaborated with Shakespeare4All as the Performance Accessibility Partner for their Gala Production. This year’s production, ‘Twelfth Night: The Remix,’ infused with elements of Hong Kong culture, featured Hong Kong Sign Language interpretation for the first time during the backstage tour. Deaf audience members/those with hearing impairment were invited to explore the nostalgic Hong Kong-style sets, costumes, and behind-the-scenes areas, allowing them to get up close to this romantic comedy that blends Shakespearean text with local culture.
Continuing the tradition of previous years, the production included Theatrical Interpretation, which combined Sign Language and expressive movement. By breaking language barriers, Deaf audience members/those with hearing impairment were able to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant music, groovy dance, hilarious scenes, and youthful energy on stage.

【Arts Accessibility Scheme】 Graduation of the First Cohort of the ‘Deaf/Hard-of-hearing Theatrical Interpretation Training Workshop’ |
ADAHK’s Arts Accessibility team has always maintained an open-minded attitude, listened to diverse voices, and developed services that meet the needs of the times. Over six months ago, the team took the lead in launching Hong Kong’s first ‘Deaf/Hard of Hearing Theatrical Interpretation Training Workshop.’ This initiative aimed to explore and nurture the potential of Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals as Theatrical Interpreters, putting into practice the mission of creating diverse and engaging career development opportunities.
Now, six months later, the participants of the workshop have successfully completed their courses and graduated. They have taken their learning journey into various primary and secondary schools across different districts, enabling young people to explore techniques that integrate Sign Language, facial expressions, and body movements. These graduates guide the younger generation in understanding how Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences can fully immerse themselves in stage performances through Theatrical Interpretation.
The workshop has not only developed talents and opportunities for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in the performing arts but has also promoted inclusivity and diverse development in theatre. The team at ADAHK sincerely looks forward to witnessing the outstanding performances of the graduates on stage in the near future.
