ADAHK’s Flash Ensemble and artists with disabilities participated in the ‘Inclusive Concert’ as part of the ‘I'm perfect in my imperfection’ Artist-in-Residence programme from 19 July to 21 July. The concert began with a dynamic performance by a string quartet consisting of ADAHK’s artists with disabilities, Hugo Pang, Jayden Pang, Chris Tang, and Hardy Li. This was followed by a performance of iconic pieces by the ‘Flash Ensemble.’ Over the next two days, ADAHK’s artists with disabilities - Ding Yijie, Yang Enhua, Lee Hin, and Lee Shing - along with guest performers Nelson Fung and Samuel Chan, combined Chinese and Western instruments to play in a jazz ensemble. 【Arts Accessibility Scheme】 International Arts Carnival 2024 |
|
|
At this year’s International Arts Carnival, the China National Acrobatic Troupe presented their classic acts in ‘Me & My Youth.’ They showcased superb traditional acrobatic skills coupled with innovative technology. Prior to the show, ADAHK hosted a Touch Tour, providing tactile experiences with the props that appeared in the show, such as bikes, spinning plates, and diabolos. This allowed the audience with visual impairment, along with their families and friends, to appreciate the strength, precision, balance, coordination, and courage demonstrated by the acrobats. The Audio Description service provided during the show enabled all audience members to enjoy the performance, including the acrobats’ agile and highly challenging moves, creating a thrilling and awe-inspiring viewing experience.
