‘Cross All Borders’ proudly presented two performances of the ‘Spotlight on Your Voice’ Black Box Production, successfully held on 23 and 24 August at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre. This show was a collaborative effort featuring artists with disabilities, professional theatre practitioners, and mainstream actors, infusing the production with vibrant energy and soul. The performers courageously pushed their boundaries, delivering heartfelt and moving performances that resonated deeply with the audience. Laughter and emotion filled the theatre, powerfully showcasing the strength of the arts and inclusion.
To ensure that the arts are accessible to all, the show included Audio Captions in Chinese and English, Audio Description in Cantonese, and Theatrical Interpretation.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all sponsors, partners, and audience for their support, which allowed the artists to fully engage in the creative process and realise their dreams of performing on stage. Every person present in the theatre was a testament to the message of ‘making performers be seen.’ May the power of the arts continue to shine and ignite endless possibilities.

【Arts Accessibility Scheme】 ‘Home,’ the First Relaxed Performance at International Arts Carnival |
|
|
ADAHK organised a Relaxed Performance for ‘Home,’ International Arts Carnival’s very first Relaxed Performance, designed to welcome more families to enjoy theatre together.
The Relaxed Performance created a welcoming environment where everyone could comfortably immerse themselves in the experience. The lighting and sound effects were softened, and audience members were free to stand or make noise as they wished. The auditorium remained softly lit, and there was an open-door policy allowing viewers to move in and out freely during the show if needed.
Outside the theatre, a Chill-out Area was available, equipped with noise-cancelling headphones, sensory toys, and visual art materials for those who needed a break. This area also featured a live video feed, ensuring no one missed the performance.
ADAHK hopes that more families and children can enjoy the arts events in a relaxed manner, making this summer holiday even more colourful and exciting!

Young-olds serve as photographers, capturing family portraits for elderly residents and their families, thereby preserving precious memories.
At the end of the workshop, young-old participants will create an audio album of their photographic works. They incorporate simple technology to add background music to their photographs, enhancing the overall atmosphere of their creations.
