The Diversity and Inclusion Arts Festival Showcases the Talents of Artists with Disabilities |
ADAHK is dedicated to nurturing and supporting local artists with disabilities by organising a variety of events and exploring diverse opportunities. In March, coinciding with Arts Month when art lovers and tourists flock to the city, the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the Government of the HKSAR, in collaboration with ADAHK, organised The Diversity and Inclusion Arts Festival. This event took place at the Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District from 22 March to 5 April 2025.
The Festival featured an art exhibition showcasing the creativity of over 40 artists with disabilities. It also included a lively concert that harmoniously blended Eastern and Western musical traditions, highlighting the beauty of cultural integration. Audiences were captivated by a thought-provoking musical centred on mental health, aimed at raising awareness and igniting important conversations. Additionally, engaging workshops led by artists with disabilities provided hands-on experiences, while an arts bazaar showcased a diverse array of creative works, celebrating the achievements of these artists. A dedicated information station offered vital career guidance and resources tailored for people with disabilities.
